Practical experience. Connected thinking.
CiderWorks Solutions helps organizations make the systems behind their work clearer, stronger, and easier to sustain.
The practice brings together experience across organizational operations, technology, communications, media, and community institutions. Those disciplines frequently overlap in the real world, even when the people and vendors responsible for them do not.
CiderWorks exists in that space between traditional roles.
The work behind the work
Organizations accumulate systems over time.
A website may be managed by one person. Email accounts by another. Forms may have been created years ago. Files live in several places. A recurring process exists because someone remembers to do it. Important knowledge may live primarily in the head of a longtime employee, officer, volunteer, or vendor.
Individually, each piece may work.
The challenge is understanding how the pieces work together.
CiderWorks Solutions approaches those environments as connected systems, looking for opportunities to reduce friction, preserve knowledge, clarify responsibility, and build solutions that can survive the people who originally created them.

People · Systems · Stories · Stewardship
People
Organizations ultimately depend on people. Roles, responsibilities, relationships, and institutional knowledge matter just as much as the technology supporting them.
Systems
Websites, workflows, forms, email, files, platforms, processes, and infrastructure should support the work rather than become additional work themselves.
Stories
Organizations need to communicate. Media, messaging, information, and storytelling connect an organization’s work with the people it exists to serve.
Stewardship
Building something is only part of the job. Documentation, maintainability, continuity, and thoughtful care help ensure that useful systems remain useful over time.
Experience, distilled.
CiderWorks is built around a simple idea: useful solutions often emerge by bringing different kinds of experience together, removing unnecessary complexity, and concentrating attention on what actually matters.
That idea is reflected in the name itself. Cider is created through cultivation, transformation, and refinement. In much the same way, CiderWorks Solutions takes experience, information, technology, and organizational needs and works toward something practical and useful.
The result should not make an organization more complicated.
It should make the organization better equipped to do its work.
The mark

The CiderWorks identity reflects the same philosophy.
Its circular form and seed-like elements suggest growth, connection, and the individual pieces that make up a larger system. Red, green, and blue accents acknowledge the practice’s roots in media and technology, while the overall mark is intentionally abstract enough to represent work extending well beyond either field.
There are also quieter pieces of personal history embedded in the identity, a reminder that CiderWorks may be a distinct professional practice, but it is built from experience accumulated over many years of creating, solving, organizing, and helping organizations move their work forward.
Built for organizations doing real work
CiderWorks Solutions is particularly suited to organizations that have important work to accomplish without necessarily having dedicated staff for every system supporting it.
That can include small businesses, nonprofits, membership organizations, community institutions, municipalities, and other organizations where people wear multiple hats and practical solutions matter more than unnecessary complexity.
